Decoking Winch
The decoking winch is designed for coke cutting operations to raise and lower the cutting tool in coke drums. It incorporates features that support safe operation, stable control and reliability in demanding delayed coking environments.

Decoking Winch Features and Benefits
Flowserve’s winch design provides high hoisting power, a high design factor and variable line speed. The fabricated steel drum and frame assembly, together with a planetary gearbox, fail safe wet disc brake in an oil bath and an automatic drum brake, supports safe operation in harsh conditions. Additional features include a drum lock, an oversized drum barrel to promote longer wire rope life, a remote throttle valve for variable speed and safe load control and an auxiliary brake release for precise lowering control.
To support consistent wire rope spooling and longer wire rope life, the following accessories can be specified:
- Spiral grooved drums
- Press rollers
- Level winds
The winch is available with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric drive. An electric drive configuration can be used as part of remote and automated decoking system upgrades, depending on site requirements.
