Becker VARIAIR U 5 Series vacuum pumps are rotary vane pumps that operate in a deep vacuum and are oil-lubricated. They are equipped with a frequency inverter. Because of their sturdy design, rotary vane pumps can sustain bigger pressure differentials in vacuum and/or pressure applications. In a cylindrical housing, an eccentrically mounted rotor with slots rotates and precision-sized sliding vanes travel within the slots to separate the individual working chambers. Oil-lubricated pumps additionally seal the working chambers with the oil that is supplied, as opposed to dry-running rotary vane pumps. These compressors are thus suitable for applications requiring a high vacuum since they can produce a fine vacuum.
