Sandpiper’s Metallic Ball Valve AODD Pump, SB1 & SB25, is an exclusive design and is best in class for moving thin-highly viscous and small, solids-laden fluids. The double diaphragm pump provides an excellent suction lift capabilities and is designed to withstand the most rugged and harsh ball valve pumping applications. It was designed with thick wall constructed of Sand-Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel or Alloy C with elastomer, TPE (thermal plastic elastomers) and PTFE options in diaphragms and check valves. The Sandpiper SB1 & SB25 Ball Valve pump comes in a variety of porting options to optimize and fit the required applications.
These pumps are enhanced with extended-wear packages and are your optimal solution for abrasive-slurry applications. Features include:
- Top-ported: For fluids containing floating solids, suspended solids or entrained gases. The discharge port is positioned above the center of the pump for easier evacuation.
- Down-ported: For fluids containing settling solids. The discharge port is positioned below the center of the pump so solids settle in the elbow and are discharged. This helps reduce wear on the diaphragms and associated components.
- Side-ported: For use in confined spaces. The ports are positioned with the center of the pump, allowing for installation in smaller, cramped spaces [available in 1″ (25mm) and 1½” (40mm) sizes only]
- Compact design
- Weighted check balls: Are 30%-60% heavier than solid rubber check balls, allowing for more consistent chamber filing
- ESADS+: Sandpiper is one of the only AODD Pump manufacturer to offer an externally serviceable air distribution system which allows complete access to the main air and pilot valves without removing the pump from service.
