The Alfa Laval TZ-89 is a rotary jet head tank washing machine built for sanitary conditions. Designed for cleaning containers with capacities ranging from 5 to 20 m3.
It combines pressure and flow to create high-impact cleaning nozzles that revolve in a consistent and reliable 360-degree cleaning pattern.
The TZ-89 conserves washing media and water. It is simple to tailor to the demands of the consumer, allowing firms to devote more time to manufacturing and less on cleaning.
The Alfa Laval TZ-89 is designed to remove recalcitrant residues from sanitary tanks in a variety of industries, including dairy, food, beverage brewing and personal care products.
Benefit :
Benefits include 60% faster cleaning, up to 70% cost savings, elimination of manual tank cleaning, high-impact cleaning in a 360° repeating pattern and validation using Alfa Laval Rotacheck.

Comparison Table: Alfa Laval Toftejorg TZ-Series Rotary Jet Heads
Model | Flow Rate | Cleaning Radius | Target Use | Best For | Strength |
TZ-67 | Lower | Standard | General-purpose large tanks | Food, beverage, light industrial | Compact and hygienic |
TZ-74 | Medium | Extended | Heavy-duty industrial tanks | Breweries, chemical tanks, CIP systems | Greater jet impact and reach |
TZ-89 | High | Maximum | Extreme-duty large tanks with tough residues | Energy, chemical, heavy industry applications | Maximum force and cleaning coverage |
The Alfa Laval TZ-89 tank cleaning machine is designed to cover the inside of the tank in a denser pattern, achieving powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water and cleaning media. The machine’s design allows for the choice of nozzle diameters to optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. Its slim design makes it ideal for retrofitting spray balls, reducing Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) costs and cleaning time. The Alfa Laval SaniJet 20 is an alternative that offers similar performance to the TZ-89.
The high-impact jet stream from the rotary jet head performs geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes, with the first cycle laying out a course pattern on the tank surface. The machine then starts over again and continues performing the next full cleaning pattern.
